So. I'm in a cabin right now, out in the middle of no where, and it's rather difficult not to think about "bigger" things when you are in such an open area. I recently saw the movie, The Imitation Game. Alan Turing was ridiculed for being different. His mind wasn't understood and he was a bit of an asshole, but that's what made him amazing! He knew he was right and he didn't stop with his "insanity" until he proved his point. Society led to his demise and that's truly tragic. Being different is what made him great and it's so upsetting that people of his time couldn't see that. I didn't really know much about him before I saw the movie, but he's officially a hero of mine. The above quote is, as most of y'all know, a Steve Jobs quote, but Alan actually reminded me of Steve a great deal. Both of them were stubborn and selfish and crazy and "dreamers". And both of them were so unbelievably amazing because of that.
"Dare to be different." It's a cliche, but they're cliches for a reason! 😎
